Showcasing the Art of the Possible

🎯

Mission

The ASU Artificial Intelligence Cloud Innovation Center, powered by AWS, expands the effective use of AI for public sector organizations on a global scale — including government agencies, education institutions, and nonprofits — to address their mission-related challenges and uncover new opportunities.

🤝

Collaboration Model

Organizations bring their domain expertise and real-world challenges. CIC student teams and staff apply Amazon's innovation process, AWS technology expertise, and rapid prototyping to deliver working solutions — typically in weeks, not months.

🚀

Innovation Network

Part of a global network of AWS Public Sector Innovation Centers at leading universities — including Cal Poly, Vanderbilt, and institutions across Bahrain, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and more — tackling challenges from smart cities to healthcare equity.

The CIC portfolio comprises 110 public repositories representing applied generative-AI engagements. The portfolio is overwhelmingly AWS-native: 60 repositories build on Amazon Bedrock, with supporting services including AWS CDK, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Amazon Kendra, Transcribe, and Rekognition. Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript dominate the codebase, reflecting a serverless-backend and modern-web-frontend delivery pattern. Every repository has been committed to within the last 12 months.
